Teaching Philosophy: I believe that scientific degree programs should promote critical thinking and original thought. Students should be guided to explore topics and come to their own conclusions to some extent rather than regurgitating information from lectures alone. I often employ the Socratic method and collaborative learning during lectures to ensure student engagement.
